The Schtick: This is the highly anticipated, already loved and already hated release from Good Teremana Tequila Shirt Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Per usual, as I do with any spirit, I’m drinking this neat. Distiller: Productos Fino’s de Agave (1613/1416) Bottler: Teremana Selection: N/A ABV: 40% ABV Age: (Couldn’t find an age statement). Sweet agave, light ethanol. Opens up after a few minutes and a good bit of oak comes through, as well as something I can’t put my finger on. Vanilla bean, maybe, but almost creamy. I can’t fully describe it. Almost as if the vanilla and citrus are clashing, but I find it enjoyable.

Slightly sweet. Ethanol, agave, light vanilla. After a Good Teremana Tequila Shirt few minutes, the ethanol calms down and the oak comes through more with that vanilla bean. Citrus. It seems to get a little sweeter over time. Short to medium. Very light on the agave, the citrus and vanilla stick around for a bit. Tasty and competent. Not mind-blowing, but I’m happy to say that this seems to be a quality product, though not the messiah of tequila that many DJ fanatics were hoping for.

They created a NOM specifically for this product, even though they are made in Good Teremana Tequila Shirt a facility with over a hundred other brands (IIRC). Lots of their marketing featured The Rock out in fields and lots of chatter about being “small”, “family”, etc. To their credit, the distillery has, effectively a dedicated space that is nothing but Teremana’s. I’m happy to hear that this is what appears to be a solid contract distillate. I was worried it was going to be another Cinco. Honestly, I was with you. You and I have discussed this a bit, and while I wasn’t quite as cynical (for lack of a better word)
