That’s the Halloween I’m With The Bigfoot Shirt fair. Resurrection is laughably awful for me, so I can watch it and enjoy it in a “so bad, it’s good” way, and the same for Halloween 6. Halloween 5 is just bad as well as boring, so I can never really justify to myself why I’m sitting and watching it rather than doing literally anything else with my time, so I suppose I agree. I like Rob Zombie’s Halloween though, purely on the merits that it’s a decent slasher with a moderately interesting villain (for the first half); the main issue with it is that it’s a Halloween movie, and on that level, it completely misses the point of Michael Meyers. RZH2 is just a godawful mess all the way through, though, so that’s definitely at the bottom of my list.

RZH2 isn’t all the Halloween I’m With The Bigfoot Shirt that great either, but I’d put it as the more watchable of the two (the Laurie character arc of crumbling due to trauma is vaguely interesting if mishandled and undermined by Scout’s acting. The main cast is less offensive, even featuring a few somewhat sympathetic characters like Mya. Annie’s death is pretty well done and fairly sad). On the downside, pretty much everything Michael related in that movie is just horrible. Yeah. Resurrection has some amusingly dumb bits as well (like Tyra Banks being, well, Tyra Banks. Her deleted death scene is especially hilarious).
