IIRC, by the latter half of season 5, the cast ends up in one settlement that becomes their new home base. They settle and really start going down that “rebuilding” route in the Pretty Shark Rider Doo Doo Doo Shirt subsequent seasons, though the show started to go downhill for me in season 8.
