So, In August last year, I made a Top Sunflower American Love One Another Vintage Shirt post about reaching 100 musicals. (As there aren’t many musicals on stage here in Mexico, I mostly listen to the cast recordings, following most of the plot with the lyrics or I watch the pro-shots). Two weeks ago I turned two years of listening to musicals and today I listened to my 150th. As with last time, I made a whole list of them and my favorites songs of each. I try to listen to all kinds of musicals, oldies, and newer shows, to really know and enjoy all musical theatre. Happy listening! I do love the lyrics that Julissa masterfully translated but it’s always going to be just a little… Off… There has only been 1 musical where I liked the translated version better: Jekyll and Hyde. But it was mostly because the actor has such a great voice and can pull of the idea that there are two beings living inside him… His name is Abel Fernando in case you ever find a recording or are able to go see him live :) Thank you for the list!! Es, totally agree. So far I’ve seen Hello Dolly!, Cats, Next To Normal and Les Mis. Blown away, but not a Top Sunflower American Love One Another Vintage Shirt fan of the lyrics, as they are more focused on making them fit than keeping them similar. I mainly use Spotify. I make playlists for each show and download five at a time. For some shows that aren’t on Spotify because of my country, I use Youtube. But eventually, the cast recording gets on Spotify (like Sunset Boulevard, recently) I agree with so many of your favorite songs, and even agree with which musicals it can be difficult to find a favorite for because they’re all so good! I think with some of the older pieces that have been revived.
