I asked at age 6 for a dog. My parents said, “When you’re 13.” Every birthday after, I counted down, “Seven more until that dog, six more until you get me that dog.” 13, I got the Beautiful Love Dachshunds Dog Shirt dog. I am now 30, and she is 17 and a half and by far the most wonderful, amazing, worthwhile, obnoxious, perfect gift I have ever received. Ya know what, I never thought about it that way, but I guess he did.
