I guess unpopular opinion but she is not yelling at him as he says, she is (somewhat) calmly explaining what the problem is with him leaving early without permission, albeit with some tinge of condescension/Kareness. I’m not saying he deserves to fire, but I don’t know the larger context of his work performance or relationship is there, but seems he left early when not supposed to and they have been calling him to do something and he wasn’t there. That’s gonna piss off any boss if you have an assigned shift. His logic of having started early is really not acceptable.
